As a team of parents ourselves, there’s nothing we love more than chatting about all things parenting-related. We sat down with the lovely Hannah – mum to three gorgeous girls – to chat about the importance of motherhood, creating special family memories and everything she’s learned along the way.
Can you tell us about yourself?
My name is Hannah, and I’ve been married for 10 years to my first-love Samuel. We have three gorgeous girls. Zahlia turned 5 in February, Marlee is turning 3 at the end of this month and Zanthe is 12-weeks old.
We recently moved to a little coastal town in north Queensland after renovating homes on the Gold Coast for the past few years. We love to spend our days at the beach, exploring new places, going on adventures or road trips while making as many fun family memories as we can for the girls (and us!) to remember forever.
What was the biggest learning for you as a mum so far?
Becoming a mother is such an important role that I never want to take for granted. Probably one of the biggest learnings for myself is to try and let go and try not to control every situation. More importantly, it’s being mindful that the girls are not going to remember the messy house, but instead will remember the time I sat down to read their favourite books or spent the afternoon building Lego towers.
Motherhood is all about patience, presence, always learning and putting someone else’s wants and needs before your own.
It’s also learning to never take time for granted – and that every stage of motherhood is so special (including the bad days), and it’s so important to soak up these precious fleeting years with them in their entirety.
Having our girls has opened me up to a love that I could never have imagined and really puts everything into perspective.

What have been the most memorable milestones along the way?
Nothing compares to watching your child experience something for the first time; and the light and wonder on their little face that comes with every special moment – from their first beautiful smile and sweet little giggles to watching them take their first steps.
Our first born Zahlia had her first steps one week before turning 11-months old while on holidays on the Sunshine Coast with all our family. It was so special and memorable as we were living in Melbourne at the time and most of our family had not being around to witness any of her milestones since being born. It’s a moment I’ll remember forever.

Can you share some of your favourite family memories?
We have so many sweet little memories as a family. But my favourite would be bringing Zanthe home from the hospital and watching our three girls together for the first time. There’s nothing better than seeing their little faces light up. Seeing how gentle and excited they were to meet their new baby sister is simply unforgettable.
Again and again, this is a memory I replay in my mind. All the time and still pinch myself. I can’t believe they are all ours.

Why is documenting your family memories so important to you?
Photos are more than just pictures on paper or a screen. To me, they’re memories – moments captured that we can treasure forever.
As fleeting and chaotic as the years are; documenting these moments that we can look back on and share with our children is something I’ve always wanted to share with them when the time is right. I’ve always cherished looking back at family memories my father captured of us, and really hope I can give that to my girls too.
